Supporting the sustainable traditions of implementing COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) modules in teaching, on February 15 Associate Professor Tetyana Mayboroda delivered a presentation in the Virtual Global Class “International Relations and Global Leadership” with Professor Dipra Jha of Washington State University. The topic of the presentation was “The russian-Ukrainian case: storytelling, impact on global relations and conflict management”.<\/p>\n

The issue of Ukrainian-Russian relations was examined through the prism of important historical events. The impact of the current Russian war in Ukraine on global international relations was explored, as well as the reasons why some countries express support and provide assistance to Ukraine, while others form coalitions against the “evil”. Particular attention was paid to the question of why well-known technologies and methods of conflict resolution do not work in the Ukrainian-Russian context, including negotiations, mediation and mediation. It analysed how these aspects affect the present and what the future might hold.<\/p>\n
