On June 20-29, 2023, teacher of Sumy State University (Oleksii Demikhov, PhD, senior lecturer of the Department of Management named after Oleg Balatsky) participated in the academic mobility program ERASMUS+KA107 at the Czech University of life sciences Prague for the purpose of training on the subject of waste management. During the implementation of the university-wide grant, the teacher took part in trainings in the areas of economics and waste management, global problems of food security and sustainable biotechnologies. Current issues of minimizing the impact on the environment and promoting the principles of the closed cycle economy were considered, innovative methods of waste management and resource recovery in the context of sustainable development were studied.

On June 27, 2023, Associate Professor Svitlana Kolosok participated in the Summer Symposium on Energy Transition and Sustainability (London, United Kingdom). At this international communicative forum, the ideas of energy security and resilience of systems, as the challenges of the transition to an economy with net-zero emissions, were spread during the panel sessions:
• "Energy transition and Net Zero society."
• "Resilience and adaptation."
• "Energy transition in the built environment, data and digitalization."
• "Energy transition - Behavior in transport."
On June 15-16, the defense of the bachelor’s qualification papers in the specialty 073 “Management” has taken place. The students presented the results of their own research. The achievements of the students were interesting, diverse and quite deep.
Theses have been defended in Ukrainian and English.
We congratulate our students on the assigning of the Bachelor of Management qualification and wish them success and the realization of further plans!
Iana Kobushko, a teacher at the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management, completed her 2-week digital skills evening school in Kosice, Slovakia. During the training, experienced speakers-practitioners in the field of information technology shared their experience in IT project management, data analysis, UX/UI design, testing, etc. The training program was implemented by the public organization female algorithm with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
