
On November 1, lecturers of the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management, Anastasia Nesheva and Victoria Sulym, conducted an educational quest for 11th graders of the Sumy Classical Gymnasium, the purpose of which was to to explain the basic principles of management.
The quest consisted of several stages that required coordination of efforts and effective communication between participants. They had the opportunity to complete a series of tasks that combined elements of a scientific approach, teamwork, and also contributed to the development of leadership qualities and the ability to make effective decisions in a limited time.

On November 2-3, Module 2 of the project "Arteries of Ukraine's democracy: challenges and opportunities for Ukrainian youth in the context of joining the EU" took place on the topic: "Axioms of the freedom of capital movement". The two-day discussion was attended by 37 participants from different parts of Ukraine, among whom were the head of the Department of Management named after Oleg Balatsky Ihor Rekunenko and 2nd-year students of the "Management" specialty Diana Pavlenko and Hanna Tkachenko.

On October 26, as part of the "Step2Hire" project (an initiative of the UPSHIFT program, implemented by the NGO "Center for Euroinitiatives" in cooperation with "NOVA UNITED" with support from UNICEF and the Government of Norway), faculty members from NNI BIEM shared expert insights with event participants on how to create a compelling resume — a critical step for career advancement.
At the training, NNI BIEM faculty members led as experts in recruitment and career development:
- Iryna Pozovna — recruiter and career consultant at Brocoders, senior lecturer in the Department of Cybernetics;
- Aliona Yevdokymova — Associate Professor in the Department of Management, Head of the Department of Practice and Integration Relations with Employers at SumDU;
- Yuliya Matvieieva — senior lecturer in the Department of Management, time management coach, and business career trainer.

On October 24, the team from the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management at SumDU took part in a significant event. As part of the COIL class "International Business and Global Leadership," led by Professor Dipra Jha from Washington State University’s Carson College of Business, the team, comprising Associate Professor Tetyana Mayboroda, Assistant Anastasiia Niesheva, and Eduard Bohdan, a second-year bachelor’s student in the Management program, delivered a presentation on the topic "russian-Ukrainian Case: Storytelling, Impact on Global Relations, and Conflict Management."
