The team members of the department have started the series of mini-trainings for the school pupils of Sumy city. The event aims to help pupils to choose their profession and further path. During the event, trainers offer to define the possibilities and the development vector, in terms of future profession.
The first participants were pupils of the school No 21 (11th grade). On that moment they’ve already received the results of testing and recommendations on their preferences. There is hope, that the recommendations will be in use. Acknowledgements and gratefulness to their supervisor, Larisa Pavlivna, who supported this event. Symbolically, this school is situated on Oleg Balatskyi Street.

On the 18th of December, the successful defence took place presented by Pavlyk Anatolii who is the apprentice of Arkadii Zhulavskyi, PhD. This the 12ve PhD student who performed successfully under the supervision of Professor Zhulavskyi. We asked our colleague, what is his motivation in contributing to PhD training. “When I work with youth, I myself am becoming younger ”, Arkadii Yuriyovich told us. “It is the cooperation with PhD students that brings the insights, new ideas, new approaches to solving the existing problems”. Now the followers of Zhulavskyi work in Sumy, Kyiv, Shostka and many of them became Dr.Sci. and were elected to high offices. We congratulate and wish further success!
Teachers of the Department of Management continue to improve their pedagogical skills and build the educational process in line with the global trends. For example, from December 12 to December 14, 2019, Associate Professor of Management Department, Oleg Balatskyi Deputy Director of FEM, Denys Smolennikov participated in the training for trainers within the project "E-Learning4SD / Online Education for Sustainable Development". The project is being implemented by the UNDP with the financial support from German Government through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and provides for the dissemination and advocacy of an on-line course for sustainable development among Ukrainian public servants.
The training was conducted at the training center of the Ukrainian School of Government (http://usg.org.ua/) and brought together more than 40 teachers, civil servants and NGO representatives who were selected to become trainers for the project. Particular attention was paid to the methodology of the training and its tools. The next phase of the project is scheduled for January 2020. It will include the development of meaningful parts of future trainings and their piloting.

On the 20th of December our colleague Tetyana Mayboroda successfully defended her PhD thesis at Higher Educational Institution of Ukoopspilka «Poltava University of Economics and Trade» in Poltava. The topic is “State regulation of education in the context of the development of national economy ”. The scientific Supervisor is professor Lyeonov Serhiy, Dr.Sci.. Congratulations on the success of the applicant and her supervisor!
