As 2023 draws to a close, the team of Jean Monnet Project "Educational Agenda for Intercultural City Development" (ID No 101047729 ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH), running from 2022 to 2025, reflects on a year of significant achievements and resilience. Despite the challenges posed by ongoing global uncertainties, the project successfully hosted two major events—Life Stories on Campus and Debates in Karl Popper Format—and delivered four tailored courses.

In December 2023, a comprehensive course addressing intercultural competence and the challenges arising from cultural clashes, social conflicts, and discrimination successfully took place. The course brought together leading experts in the field who shared their knowledge and experience through a series of webinars. The main sessions were developed and performed by Dr.Sci., professor Hanna Shvindina, and besides that the visiting lecturers joined the course.
On April 16, 2024, students majoring in "Management" and "Finance, banking, insurance and the stock market" received additional knowledge and information about the investment market of Ukraine. Artem SHCHERBINA - Candidate of Economics, Director of Investments of the investment company "Capital Times" shared his practical experience with students and teachers. The meeting discussed the issue of the modern map of financial and non-financial investment instruments in Ukraine. According to the results of the meeting, all those present understood that in the conditions of modern economy and geopolitics, the main thing is to diversify your investments.
On April 17, 2024, Dr. Angela Adamu, a guest lecturer of the Balatskyi Department of Management O., held an open lecture for students and faculty of Sumy State University on the topic: "Intercultural communications: the context and experience of West Africa. Nigeria as a case study for ways to develop mutual understanding and successful partnerships”. The lecture was organized and moderated by Tetyana Mayboroda, Associate Professor of the department, Deputy head of the International Affairs Department of Sumy State University, within the discipline "Development of Intercultural Competences and Intercultural Communications" (the discipline was developed and taught within the framework of the Jean Monet grant project "Educational Agenda for Intercultural City Development")
