Assistant of the Management Department, PhD in public administration,Oleksii Demikhov participated in the seminar "Public Health Law" (06 Oct – 12 Oct 2019) under the direction of Scott Burris, JD, AB (USA) and Katarzyna Czabanowska, Dr. habil. (Netherlands). The event took place in Salzburg (Austria) under the patronage of Open Medical University AAF and Maastricht University.
Lectures and workshops were taught by Temple University, Maastricht University, Indiana University, Imperial College London, Chair Public Health Ethics Committee.
The seminar was attended by 32 participants from 22 countries in Europe and Asia. During the lectures, practical classes and workshops, participants learned best practices in the application of US and European law, the interaction of ethics, law and public policy, effective public-administrative decisions in the field of public health.
Participation in the event provided an opportunity to communicate with experts from Europe, America and Asia, as well as to find ways of further scientific cooperation.

This Thursday, on 10th of October, Associate Professor of the department of management Mishenina Galina and the students f “Public Management and Administrating” had a meeting with an adviser of regional development Hryhorii Starykov. The discussion that took place in the Center for Local Self-Government Development (U-Lead). During the meeting the students asked questions and got the answers about the actions on the improvements of local government, got the impression about state policy of regional development. What is the decentralization and what are the perspectives exist for the local communities, and of course modern education, civic engagement – these and many more questions were in a focus of the discussion. The representatives of Oleg Balatskiy ARIFEM got valuable experience on regional development due o the efforts of the expert.

These days, from 7th till 9th the Training on fundraising took place in Kyiv, based on the office of DVV International in Ukraine. The project managers and representatives from Learning Centers participated in this event. This training was aimed to provide the participants with the actual information on fundraising, strategy of cooperation with international grant agencies, donors identification tool-box and coordination with the local governments. The couch was Svitlana Kuts, a founder of the Institute of Professional Fundraising in Ukraine, member of the Board of Directors of the European Fundraising Association (2009-2015), Ukrainian Philanthropists Association, Ukrainian SOS Kinderdorf, Head of Organizing Committee of the National Philanthropy Award. Svitlana heads Ukrainian IFC since 2011.
Ph.D. student of the department of management Stanislav Kotenko took part in this training, as a representative of Sumy State University and project manager of NGO “Lifelong Learning Centre”.
