On October 1, the fifth graduating class of course participants under the program "Manager of a dwelling house (group of houses)" was held by the Center of professional and postgraduate education of Sumy State University, in cooperation with the Department of Management. A group of students from Sumy, Krasnopillya, Okhtyrka, Lebedin received state-level certificates of completion of advanced training courses.
During 11 workdays (78 hours of classes) the participants studied the practical aspects of the work of the managers of residential houses in the field of energy management, the peculiarities of accounting, the mechanism of formation of contributions for the maintenance of houses, land and architectural issues, improvement of the adjacent areas, etc.

On the 1st of October, the Virtual Exchange at the University of Nebraska will start. This project is initiated by Professor Dipra Jha (University of Nebraska, USA) and supported at our side by the representative of ARI FEM, Shvindina Hanna (Sumy State University, Ukraine). In the class students for the United States, the Netherlands, Oman, UAE, UK, India and Ukraine. The “Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management” will take place in English. The project is aimed to reinforce international cooperation between students, postgraduate students and educators, mutual networking without the boarders and transformational learning.
The schedule: every Tuesday and Thursday, from 15-00. Room Ideas Lab, N218a.
Starts on the 1st of October, the last session will be on the 14th of November.

Sumy Forum took place on 25th of the September when the award ceremony was provided for the authors of the projects of Oblast Competition among the Youth. There were a nomination “The Best Youth Project” and Shvindina Hanna go awarded as one of the winners and TOP-5 Bests. This was the project “I am young, I dream and I work” that was organized in 2017. The project was inspired by the ideas of project managers of NGO “CYS” (Council of Young Scientists) and was realized in the partnership with Sumy State University, City Employment Center, Sumy Leisure Center and Coalition of Small and Medium Business. The donor was the Department of Youth and Sport at Oblast Government Administration. The project became a reality due to the efforts of members of CYS: Hanna Shvindina, Tetyana Vasilyeva, Serhiy Leonov, Yuriy Petrushenko, Valeria Bilenko (“Project Management” Alumni).

In early September, the 21st Economic Forum - the largest in Central and Eastern Europe - was held in Krynica-Zdrój (Poland). As part of the collaboration between Sumy State University and the Institute for Eastern European Studies (Warsaw), which co-organized the Economic Forum, ten students from Sumy State University participated in the Forum as volunteers. Among them are three students of the Department of Management - Pavlenko Daria, Fedenko Tatiana and Wonders of Elizabeth. This year's Economic Forum has traditionally brought together over 4,500 participants - academics, NGOs, government and business from Europe, Asia, the United States and the Middle East.
Within three working days, the forum participants participated in more than 200 thematic meetings, attended panel discussions, lectures, workshops; strengthened their English skills and learned to work as a team. In particular, the forum discussed business and economy, energy, innovation development, European integration, international and social policy, security, investment, society and education, etc. In addition, students of SSU joined the organization of the Running Festival of the Economic Forum - an international sport event. Its purpose is to promote people who, through their dedication and work, become role models for others.
