photo5260351223041740709ySince last year, Sumy State University and the University of Liverpool have been partners within the "Unity Initiative" program. The program involves cooperation in a wide range of areas, including summer schools and student exchanges, teacher training, an online educational resources platform, access to global databases.

This year, three teachers and a graduate student of the Department of Management - Tetyana Mayboroda , Karina Taraniuk, Anastasia Nesheva, Evgenia Lavryk took part in the Summer School of the University of Liverpool.

IMG20230927181229On September 26-28, 2023, the IX International Scientific Conference "Social Development of Values" was held in the city of Wisla (Poland). Ethics - Technologies - Society" (IX International Scientific Conference "Social development towards values. Ethics - Technology - Society"), in which scientists from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Italy took part. Sumy State University was the co-organizer of this event.

photo5298930586389433937xOn October 17, 2023, a practical-oriented class was held for the students of the educational program “Project Management” by Ivan Glushko, the chief logistics manager of “Avias” LLC, a graduate of the above mentioned program. During the meeting, they discussed the features of creating the first project, the basic principles of the project manager's work, including initiation, planning and control of implementation of project works, interaction of project team members, etc.

1From October 16, 2023 to December 11, 2023, the implementation of the Erasmus Jean Monet project began on the topic "European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the conditions of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine" (Call: ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, Type of Action: ERASMUS-LS, Acronym: Green tourism, Current Phase: Grant Management, Number: 101126971), where Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor Karina Taraniuk has started a series of lectures and practical cases from the course «Transformation (reengineering of business processes) of green tourism: European experience» for students of the 4th year of the "Management" specialty of Sumy State University in online mode

The cycle of lectures includes: discourse-lectures, problem-oriented learning, practical cases on the direction of green tourism transformation in the European Union and their implementation in the Ukrainian tourist space. The course contains 9 topics and 9 practical cases totaling 40 hours. For the purpose of a higher level of informatization of the course, course materials have been uploaded to the electronic educational platform.
 

Certificate-Yevdokymovapage-0001From July 27 to September 1, representatives of the Department of Management, Alyona Yevdokymova and Inna Balagurovska, attended the Tech Summer for Teachers Bootcamp - 2023 course. During the workshops, SoftServe experts discussed relevant topics: working with data and artificial intelligence, cyber security, active involvement of students in educational process online, project management and others.
Interesting lectures, useful knowledge and new acquaintances are an effective tool for updating educational courses for modern students.

12On October 10, 2023, a lecture on office management brought a special guest to our class. Hanna Stryzhak, a distinguished alumna who graduated with a degree in management and later completed her postgraduate studies in Environmental Economics and Conservation, shared her valuable insights with us.

Today, Hanna Stryzhak is the leader of a business group within the globally renowned company Mary Kay. She has built a team of over 160 consultants, showcasing her remarkable leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

Balatskyi department of management (Sumy State University) and the Joint Doctoral School of the Silesian University of Technology, from September 19 to 22, 2023, took part in the XX International Conference "Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering MAPE 2023". The conference was aimed at the exchange of experience between specialists in the field of technological development, management, innovations in the field of information systems.

This event is part of an international online program aimed at enhancing the qualifications of higher education institution educators on the topic of "The Power of Social Media in the Professional Development of University Educators: Personal Branding, Tools for Educational Products, and Promotion of Sustainable Development Values".
