In the framework of the annual reports of structural subdivisions of BiEM Sumy State University, the head of the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management Ihor REKUNENKO presented the results of the department for the 2021 in such areas as scientific and methodological work, international activities, career guidance and image activities. The head of the department emphasized the positive changes in the direction of professionalism and expertise of lecturers of the department. The main tasks for the development of the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management for the next 2022 were also identified by the head of the department.
The director of the Institute BiEM Tetiana Vasylieva noted the high level of work of the chair, diligence and enthusiasm of the staff and wished to further develop the established practice of conducting international virtual classes and wished to further achievements in the work.

November 12, 2021 within the discipline "Strategic Alliances and Collaborations" (lecturer Doctor of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Shvindina H.) 2-nd year graduate students gr. A-01 / M and 3-rd year graduate students (educational and scientific program 073 "Management") had a great opportunity not only to gain theoretical knowledge about the organization of strategic alliances, but also studied the practical features of such activities. Such features and practical experience were shared by a specialist-practitioner, Doctor of Philosophy, Project Coordinator of the Representation of the Foundation named after Friedrich Ebert in Ukraine Olena Davlikanova (Kyiv). Many interesting and well-founded issues were considered in the framework of the topic "Using the project approach in the formation of strategic alliances and collaborations." Discussion and interesting questions arose among graduate students about their own research, namely in the field of innovation projects, projects in the field of energy management, team management in project-oriented organizations.
It should be noted that Olena Davlikanova is well versed in the scientific problems of graduate students, as she is a graduate of SSU and successfully defended her dissertation on the specialty 073 "Management" (2021). Prior to that, she completed a master's degree in "Project Management" at the Department of Management of SSU.

There was a lively discussion with the Deputy Director of the farm "Farm Eco" Yaryna BAGATYRENKO. The organization from Lebedyn specializes in breeding snails Helix Aspersa Muller, has related businesses. Issues related to exports, problems of conducting such an unusual business, making business decisions in the face of external threats and the COVID-19 pandemic, factors changing the behavior of domestic consumers were discussed.

An unforgettable and inspiring meeting of students, postgraduate students and lecturers of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management with Professor Dipra Jha, Associate Dean of Carson College of Business, Washington State University, took place on November 30 at Congress Center SumDU. The cohort of lecturers, active participants of COIL projects was represented by lecturers of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management: professor Hanna Shvindina, who initiated the implementation of such modules and virtual classes in teaching together with professor Dipra in 2019, Yulia Opanasyuk and Tetyana Mayboroda, and Alla Krasulya, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of FPhSC, lecturer of the Germanic Philology Department. After more than two years of working in COIL modules and implementing them in academic disciplines, virtual classrooms and online projects, students and postgraduate students had the opportunity to join live, rich and interactive communication with Professor Dipra. The topics spoken were about modern teaching methods, about finding ourselves in the world, about employment and future career perspectives, about personal development and much more, and our students and postgraduate students raised an incredible number of interesting questions and topics for discussion.
