On September 10, 2021, a practice-oriented class for group УП.м-11 on the course “Project actions planning” (lecturer – Alona Yevdokymova) was held at the Department of City Strategic Development of Sumy City Council. Considering the case study of development of Sumy City Development Strategy until 2030, the brand of Sumy city and the information and analytical system of programs of Sumy city development, students had the opportunity to learn about the tools, methods and procedures, that the Department uses for planning projects, programs and project portfolios, as well as to gain practical skills on the principles of prioritization while project planning.

From the beginning of the term, the new COIL project has started. Last week, students had an amazing opportunity to join the discussion about the IKEA case during the session held at Washington State University. The course “International Management” is embedded in the course “Strategic Management” course for the undergraduates in Management studies. The start was great, let's hope for the continuation of the excellent cooperation between our universities. We are grateful to Professor Dipra Jha, who was initially an idea bringer to this project, and Dr. Mesut Çiçek, who kindly agreed to be co-instructor and managed the online sessions for our students synchronically with the students of WSU.

On September 7, 2021, Professor Hanna Shvindina, Head of the Balatskyi Department of Management, and Tetyana Mayboroda, Lecturer, participated as co-speakers at the International Strategy and Leadership Series. This set of webinars are organized to celebrate the 15th anniversary Whitefield Business School, now the Mauritian partner of Sumy State University.
The master class was dedicated to the topic "Coopetition strategy and its Perspectives in Industry & Hospitality Sectors". Interesting cases of coopetition, discussion of the importance of intercultural competencies - aroused lively interest among the participants. The class was concluded by a very active session of questions and answers in which the international cohort of online listeners took part.

Postgraduate student of the Department of Management. O. Balatsky Kotenko Stanislav took part in the International Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference "Digital Technologies and Sustainability for Development Management: Economic, Social and Environmental Aspects", organized by the London Academy of Science and Business (London, England), Sumy State University (Sumy, Ukraine), Stanislaw Staszych University of Applied Sciences (Pila, Poland). The conference was held on September 11, 2021 in online format. It was attended by more than 20 participants and speakers from 7 countries, including Morocco, Algeria, Great Britain and Poland.
Stanislav Kotenko presented the results of collective scientific work in co-authorship with professors Hanna Shvindina (SSU) and Irina Geiets (RMIT, Australia). In his presentation, the graduate student of the Department of Management gave important arguments in favor of taking into account migration factors in the system of determining the level of competitiveness of regions, and suggested ways to solve the difficult situation related to the outflow of labor in Ukraine.
