As 2023 draws to a close, the team of Jean Monnet Project "Educational Agenda for Intercultural City Development" (ID No 101047729 ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH), running from 2022 to 2025, reflects on a year of significant achievements and resilience. Despite the challenges posed by ongoing global uncertainties, the project successfully hosted two major events—Life Stories on Campus and Debates in Karl Popper Format—and delivered four tailored courses.
These initiatives were enhanced by the participation of over 25 visiting lecturers from around the world, contributing diverse perspectives to the enriching educational content. The events and courses attracted a wide array of international students from countries including India, Turkey, Germany, Poland, and the USA, fostering a truly global dialogue on intercultural city development.
Additionally, the project resonated strongly within Ukraine, engaging colleagues and participants from a multitude of cities such as Bila Tserkva, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Krolevec, Lutsk, Lviv, Melitopol, Mykolaiv, Ohtyrka, Pereiaslav, Poltava, Putyvl, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, and Vinnytsia. This widespread involvement underscored the project's commitment to fostering local and international networks, promoting the exchange of ideas, and enhancing intercultural understanding.
The year 2023 has demonstrated that, despite adversities, the Jean Monnet Project team remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering on its promises and objectives. By continuing to provide high-quality, impactful educational experiences, the project proves that education and collaboration can thrive, paving the way for a more inclusive and interconnected world.
