From April 19-25, 2024, the second set of information and training events took place in Istanbul, Turkey, as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 project "Empowering Youth Workers Against Radicalization," funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program 2021-2027 (2022-1-TR01-KA220-YOU-000090238). This time, it focused on developing materials for a portal for youth workers regarding countering radicalization.
Participants included the following Sumy State University representatives: from the Oleh Balatsky Department of Management - Associate Professor, Deputy Head of International Affairs Department Tetyana Mayboroda, from the Department of International Economic Relations - Professor and Head of the Department Yuriy Petrushenko, Associate Professor Oksana Zamora, senior lecturer Tetiana Shcherbyna, and the Head of the Department for Student Affairs in Dormitories (VRSMD) Ievgeniia Kryvosheienko.
The event featured a series of interactive activities, discussions, and group work on the theme of radicalization, its influencing factors, and de-radicalization methods. Additionally, organizers created excellent conditions for networking and stimulated discussion of new project ideas.
