The Erasmus+ program offers students unique opportunities to study abroad, gain new academic and life experiences, expand their worldview, and develop intercultural communication skills. Students of the O. Balatskyi Department of Management actively participate in academic mobility programs, taking advantage of the opportunity to study at leading European universities. Yehor Palyvoda, a student of the 073 "Management" program, shared his impressions of his mobility semester at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland.
The Path to Mobility: Challenges That Open Up Opportunities
"The entire process of academic mobility, from submitting an application to the actual study experience, brings a lot of emotions due to uncertainty and responsibility. However, this journey opens a window of opportunities and prospects. Thanks to these challenges, you not only strengthen yourself but also learn to adapt to various life situations," says Yehor.
Preparing for participation in the Erasmus+ program involves several stages—from choosing a foreign university and completing the necessary documents to organizing the relocation and adapting to a new learning environment. However, all these efforts are justified by the unique experience students gain during their time abroad.
The Learning Process and New Knowledge
During his studies in Poland, Yehor focused on courses related to human resource management.
"I am studying in the 073 'Management' program, and at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, I took courses related to human resource management. I was interested in learning how this management function is approached in Poland. Studying went smoothly, without major difficulties. If anyone is worried about their English skills, there's no need to fear—teachers are always ready to help, even if language barriers arise," the student notes.
The educational process at Wrocław University of Science and Technology is distinguished by interactive teaching methods, open dialogue between students and professors, and a focus on practical case studies, which allows for a better understanding of the material.
Cultural Impressions and Travels
Beyond academics, Yehor was also impressed by the fascinating architecture of Wrocław and the opportunity to travel to neighboring countries:
"I really liked the Lower Silesia region. This area was under German rule for a long time, so the architecture of Wrocław is truly impressive. Moreover, I had the opportunity to visit Bratislava, Prague, and Vienna, as these cities are quite close."
International mobility is not only about studying but also about cultural exchange, new experiences, and meeting new people. It is an opportunity to broaden one's perspective and feel like part of the global academic community.
Conclusions and Recommendations for Students
Summing up his experience, Yehor described this semester as "a period of self-discovery in a new environment, six months of challenges and opportunities, a time to find unique new friends." He encourages everyone seeking change, new acquaintances, and personal growth to take advantage of the Erasmus+ opportunities.
"I can describe this semester as a stage of self-discovery in new conditions, six months of challenges and opportunities, and a time for finding unique new friends. So, if you're looking for this, the Erasmus+ program is exactly for you!" the student shares.
