On 26th and 27th of April the 1st International Forum "STABICON-2018" took place in the Sumy State University, which united the conferences of two departments o f the Institute of FEM and created a platform for discussions of current scientific problems.
The first day of the Forum was opened by welcoming speech of vice-rector for R&D Dr. Chornous Anatoly. The head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Dr. Melnyk Leonid once founded the “Economy for Ecology” conference, which existed for many years. At one time the head of the department of management Dr. Telizhenko Olexander organized the conference "Modern management and economic development". Now, the efforts of both deaprtments are united in the "STABICON-systems" Forum, whose purpose is to create new opportunities for researchers from different fields of studies to share experiences, knowledge and ideas, contacts and to form new research partnerships.
One of the guests of the plenary section was Aliaksandr Kolbas, Ph.D., the director of the Ecological Center at the Brest State University named after O.S. Pushkin, co-author of the Brest “Simbio City” project. Aliaksandr used video presentation to talk about the possibilities of turning Brest into "Smart" city by 2020, told about his contributions into the development of biotechnologies, which are the basis of the city's transformation.
Professor of the Department of Economic Theory Dr. Samuel Chaim Chayen presented his study on "ghost villages" in Ukraine, gave examples of transformations of cities and villages of Israel into cities of prosperity, and gave his recommendations for the further development of local infrastructures.
Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and International Business, Ukrainian-American Concordia University in Kyiv, Dr. Lubov Zharova, who also teaches at the Economics and Humanities University in Bielsko-Biala (Poland), spoke about the concept of "invasive growth "within the context of sustainable development. The report brought a vivid discussion and questions from the audience, the topic was interesting. We hope for further meetings to discuss theses ideas.
Consultant on Strategic Development of Ukrainian Airports and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics of Air Transportation at the National Aviation University Iryna Heiets reported on "Coopetitive Strategies for the Development of Aviation Enterprises", an understanding of which is critical for the further development of the city's infrastructure, since Sumy airport is currently almost disabled and the tourism development, including green - impossible in the absence of access to the region.
The forum combines the efforts of teachers and leading researchers, as well as student youth, which is just starting a scientific career. Students are co-chairing the student's section, such as Student Director NNI FEM, Hanna Ponomareva, and therefore the students of the plenary session were Stanislav Nikolayev (E-71), Solodova Elizabeth (PE-71) and Tkachenko Elena (E-61).
The second half of the first day was devoted to the work of forum sections in specific areas. Young and experienced researchers exchanged questions and ideas, suggestions and recommendations to further improvements of their own and collaborative research. One of the important results of the forum was the agreement on research collaboration between guests and forum organizers.
The second day of the "STABICON" Forum was organized as the Rroundtable “Smart City” devoted to city development using the up-date technologies. The round table was held to discuss projects and project ideas for improving the city infrastructure, introducing the latest technologies in various fields of knowledge, including energy saving, environmental innovations, management and logistics of the city. The speakers were Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Entrepreneurship of the SSU, Ph.D. Aleksandrov Vadim, who is co-author of the SMART CITY project and Ph.D. student of the Department of Management, Nesheva Anastasia, who proposed a project to improve the city's internal logistics. The researcher, associate professor of the Department of Air Transport Economics at the National Aviation University Irina Heyets joind the discussion by offering several scenarios for reanimation of the airport in Sumy. The discussion was attended by representatives of educational spaces, representatives of the government and community, public organizations, active youth.
At the end of the forum, the lecture "Global Experience in International Aviation Regulation" was offered to the students of various specialties of ARIFEM, delivered by the guest of the conference Iryna Heiets, who has academic and research experience, and at the same time is a practitioner as an inspector of the International Civil Aviation Organization and Strategy Development Adviser for the Airports in Ukraine. The lectures were attended by students of the specialties "Management" (group M-61), "International Economic Relations" (ME-71an, ME-61an, ME-51an), and "Business-analytics" (AB-61a), as well as "Entrepreneurship, Trade and Stock Exchanges "(PE-71/1, PE-71/2).
