This fall, students of the department of management Malyonkina I. and Kalyuzhna Y. (“Public Management & Administration” training) took part in Cases Championship under supervision of team member Mishenina G., and with the support of adviser on the regional development of Sumy Centre of Development of Local Government Starykov H.

This competition “The Championship of cases of united territorial communities (UTC) ”was organized within the framework of DESPRO Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralization Support in Ukraine” and with help of CASERS Platform. Cases were given by 16 UTCs from all around Ukraine, and the evaluation committee involved authorities from UTC and the representatives of DESPRO School of Local Government. As a result, the team from Sumy State University “Changemakers” won the first place among all the players in a process of practical case solving for Pokrovska UTC (Dnipropetrovska Oblast).

On the 29th of November, the ceremony of awarding took place in Kyiv, at the DESPRO School of Local Government with the support of the representatives of UTCs. Besides the award, the certificates and congratulations, our team got the invitation to visit Pokrovska UTS this spring and to proceed with the cooperation on decision-making development.
