Teachers of the Department of Management continue to improve their pedagogical skills and build the educational process in line with the global trends. For example, from December 12 to December 14, 2019, Associate Professor of Management Department, Oleg Balatskyi Deputy Director of FEM, Denys Smolennikov participated in the training for trainers within the project "E-Learning4SD / Online Education for Sustainable Development". The project is being implemented by the UNDP with the financial support from German Government through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and provides for the dissemination and advocacy of an on-line course for sustainable development among Ukrainian public servants.
The training was conducted at the training center of the Ukrainian School of Government (http://usg.org.ua/) and brought together more than 40 teachers, civil servants and NGO representatives who were selected to become trainers for the project. Particular attention was paid to the methodology of the training and its tools. The next phase of the project is scheduled for January 2020. It will include the development of meaningful parts of future trainings and their piloting.
Additionally on Tuesday, December 17, Denys Smolennikov joined the training "Sustainable Development Goals as a Tool for Civic Initiatives", during which participants got acquainted with the Sustainable Development Goals and identified the objectives, and found out how to assess the current situation in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals. The event was implemented by NGO "Center for lifelong learning" in partnership with the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Association of People's Universities (DVV).
