Bachelor students of the specialty "Public Administration and Administration" and the specialty "Management" visited the Sumy City Council on 20th of February, 2020. The practice-oriented event was organized and conducted by the teachers of the Department of Management Lukianikhin V.A. and Demikhov O.I.

At the beginning, the students was delivered the speech by Mr. Pak S.Y., the Deputy Mayor - the Steering Committee of the Executive Committee, who explained the peculiarities of the work of local self-government institutions.

Further, the head of the department of organizational and personnel work Antonenko A.G. spoke with the youth about the legislative requirements for holding competitions for the replacement of vacant positions in local self-government. The legislation on preventing corruption was one of the parts of his presentation.

The questions asked by the students of the 3rd and 4th year during the lecture of Sumy City Council specialists were directly related to the topics of the relevant work programs of the disciplines “Civil Service”, “Personnel Management” and “Personnel Management in Administrative Activity”:
- peculiarities of hiring into local self-government bodies, passing the competition;
- requirements for job candidates;

- declaration of income by local government officials;

- anti-corruption policy;

- prevention of conflicts of interest;

- building the career of the representative of a local government official;

- the impact of decentralization on staff;

- motivation and system of disciplinary punishments;

- certification training.

The discussion allowed to reveal specific activities of local government officials for the students and had a positive image effect for all its participants!
