On the 24th of March the head of the department, Dr.Sci. Shvindina Hanna who is also a CEO of NGO “Lifelong Learning Centre” took part in Webinar “UNESCO learning cities respond to COVID-19”. The challenges that are crucial for the cities all around the world were discussed among the 250 participants from different countries.
The experience on overcoming the challenges was presented by the representatives of Wuhan, Shanghai and Beijing (China), Fermo (Italy) and Kashan (Iran). The agenda and presentations of the webinar and summary report are presented at the site of UNESCO and available for the public.

The webinar is aimed at sharing the decisions, tools, best practices and contacts under the closing the schools and HEIs due to COVID-19 and at experience sharing between members and non-members of UNESCO learning cities network towards the pandemic problems solving.
Sumy is non-member city but the application to enter the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) is already accomplished and we are waiting for the results.
