The Virtual Module “International Business Strategy” was started on the 1st of October in cooperation with the professors and authorities of Washington State University (USA). The online learning became an effective tool for knowledge sharing. Now we may teach and learn in Seattle, being in Ukraine or Australia. Professor Dipra Jha, Associate Professor at the Carson College of Business and Assistant Director of the School of Hospitality Business Management, initiated the joint lecturing with several Business Schools from different countries (USA, UK, Ukraine and India).
The first session was successfully presented by Professor Hanna Shvindina and her students in Management Studies, Maryna Deineka and Faith Emmanuel Umo Otong. The first seminar was devoted to the topic “To Do Business in Ukraine”, and the main discussion was about the strategic ploys of running a business in Ukraine taking in account the strengths and weaknesses of the economy, development of institutions, the trust crisis in the society and decentralization processes. This Virtual Module is a part of the course “Management: Advanced” provided at SumDU and is aimed to bring new insights to the students from both countries.
Among the participants, there were students of the second year and fourth year in Management Studies from Sumy State University, students of KNEU and of course, students of IBUS course from Washington State University.
