On Friday, October 9th , 3rd year students majoring in Organizational Management joined the online training "Sustainable Development Goals as a Tool for Civil Society Consolidation" delivered by NGO " Lifelong Learning Centre" in the framework of the Week of Civic Education of the Eastern European Network Civic Education (EENCE). Under the initiative of the lecturer of the Department of Management Mayboroda Tetyana students of group M-82a joined this training in the frame of the discipline "Corporate Social Responsibility".
Coaches Denys Smolennikov and Nadiya Kostyuchenko acquainted the audience with the key stages of the Concept of Sustainable Development in the world, its current state in Ukraine, acquainted with the international experience on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)and successful cases of Ukraine in cooperation with international projects and worked on the priority of SDGs for our country at the present stage.
Students and listeners of the training worked in two groups on the task of selecting 3 priority goals from 17 global ones, the implementation of which they can influence as a person, as a citizen. Interestingly appeared, that among the selected three goals, both groups converged on one goal - №12 Responsible Consumption. Achieving Sustainable Development Goals is a mandatory component of CSR of local and global projects, company strategies and, in fact, the lifestyle of the younger generation. That is why the promotion of the principles of sustainable business and social responsibility, attracting young people to implement their own ideas and the future implementation of these principles in their professional activities in business is an important component of students-managers’ studying.
