The first session of the Global Virtual Class took place on 4h of February, which is one of many planned within a new course «International Relations and Global Leadership». This course is designed and provided jointly with the Washington State University. From Sumy State University, the following faculty will participate this semester: Dr. Hanna Shvindina, Dr. Tetyana Mayboroda, and Dr. Yuliia Opanasiuk. The initiator and leading instructor of the class is Professor Dipra Jha, Assistant Director and Scholarly Associate Professor of School of Hospitality Business Management at Carson College of Business (Washington State University).
Welcome remarks were performed by Dr. Tom Tripp, Professor of Management, Rom Markin Endowed Leadership Chair in Business, and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Washington State University Carson College of Business.
The first session was devoted to the specific or running business in Ukraine. The presentation was developed and performed by the head of the department, Dr. Hanna Shvindina, and students of the second year, Maryna Deineka and Faith Umo Otong. This is not the first performance of this star team, and we hope, not the last.
The students of different specialties of BiEM Institute took part in the session, as well as student cohort from the US. The presentation and Q&A received numerous positive feedback from students and professors from the USA and Ukraine, in social networks also. The topic of economic development of Ukraine and international investors attracting had a global reach. It’s important to share positive information about Ukraine as a business-friendly country opened to innovations.
The next session is scheduled for the coming Thursday. The presentation by Jon Kerrigan, University of Nebraska – Lincoln titled “China: Culture and Business Opportunities”
