On April 12, Ekaterine Lomia visited the fourth-year students of the specialty Public Management and Administration as part of the study of the discipline Management of European Integration Processes (teacher – Iuliia Myroshnychenko). Ms. Ekaterine is a researcher, a PhD Candidate in Political Science, visiting lecture at the Faculty of law and social sciences at European University (Tbilisi, Georgia). The sphere of scientific interests of the speaker is the research of foreign economic and European integration processes. The topic of the meeting was "Management of European Integration Processes (a case study of Georgia)". The event was conducted in English with consecutive translation into Ukrainian from the teacher of the course.
Ms Lomia has discussed Georgia’s success towards the EU and NATO aspiration as well as the challenges and difficulties towards the country’s EU integration. Ekaterine Lomia has provided the retrospective analysis of EU-Georgia relations since Georgia’s independence and the current situation in the country's occupied regions. In addition, the features and problems of public administration in Georgia were discussed during the practice-oriented event.
Students asked interesting questions about the prospects of applying for EU membership in 2024 and readiness to profess European values.
