On April 25, 2023, a practice-oriented class was held for 1st and 3rd year bachelor students majoring in Management, as well as 1st and 2nd year students majoring in Public Administration with Maryna Saienko, an expert and certified business mediator, managing partner of the Attorney Union “Law of Victory”, a lecturer at the Higher School of Advocacy, and a trainer at the Ukrainian Mediation Center.
Topic of the class: "Mediation: Opportunities for Business", moderated by Tetyana Mayboroda, Associate Professor of the O. Balatskyi Department of Management, who organized and moderated a meeting within the framework of the course "Conflict and Change Management in the Organization".
The students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of mediation for business as a new culture of communication and civilized dispute resolution, as mediation is about conflict prevention, face and relationship preservation, and rational use of resources. Practical cases, inspirational advices, cross-cultural issues, interesting insights into the life of a mediator and how mediation is becoming an integral style of professional and everyday life as a new culture - we are sure that the students gained incredible experience and knowledge from Ms. Maryna.
