On June 6, Senior Lecturer of the Department and participant of the Jean Monnet international project “Smart energy cooperation in Europe: educational project for youth leaders” (101048079) Yuliya MATVYEYEVA, together with her students, took part remotely in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “European Integration Priorities for Sustainable Development”, organized by the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management of Sumy State University.
The conference brought together researchers, experts, and young scholars to discuss pressing issues of sustainable development, green transformation, circular economy, and innovation policy in the context of European integration.
Yuliia Matvieieva, in collaboration with students, presented two research papers:
– “Strategies and Tools for Decarbonization”.
– “The Role of Digital Innovation in Accelerating Sustainable Development: A Case Study on the Impact of Digital Solutions on the Decarbonization of Production Processes”.
The studies focused on modern approaches to reducing the carbon footprint of enterprises and the potential of digital solutions to support the transition toward climate neutrality.
Engaging students in scientific discussions on green transformation is a crucial step in developing their competencies as future leaders of energy change. Such involvement not only contributes to the dissemination of the Jean Monnet project’s values but also promotes the formation of responsible attitudes toward environmental challenges in line with European values.
