On March 19, 2025, as part of the “Controlling” course, students of the “Management” program had the opportunity to engage in a discussion with Pavlo Tkach, a community architect of changemakers from the NGO “Smart City” (https://www.smart.sumy.ua/).
Pavlo Tkach shared his practical experience of working in a dynamic environment where quick decision-making, resource mobilization, and effective project management are essential. The NGO team actively monitors and participates in decision-making processes within the city, stimulates civic engagement, and helps citizens navigate complex issues. Additionally, non-governmental organizations often employ unconventional management and control approaches, which can inspire students in their future projects and provide practical insights into the implementation of controlling.
Overall, the interaction between management students and practitioners from the public sector contributes to shaping competent, socially responsible, and creative professionals capable of adapting to modern challenges.
Thank you for the meeting!
The event was also attended by first- and second-year students of the “Management” educational program, as well as second- and third-year students of the “Public Administration and Governance” program. The meeting was organized by Svitlana Rybalchenko, Ph.D. in Economics and Associate Professor of the Department of Management named after Oleh Balatskyi.
