As part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme, students of the Department of Management at Sumy State University, Eduard Bohdan and Daria Zavalna, participated in an internship in the Jönköping Municipality (Sweden) from March 15 to 21.
The educational visit focused on a highly relevant topic for modern society — youth participation in local governance. During the internship, participants had the opportunity to explore European approaches to engaging young people in decision-making processes, visit local government institutions, and take part in interactive workshops and discussions with representatives of youth organisations and the municipality. Special attention was paid to practical tools for developing youth policy, mechanisms of communication between authorities and young people, and fostering active civic engagement.
The programme brought together participants from different countries, including Sweden, Croatia, Curaçao, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Portugal, South Africa, and Ukraine, with a total of 22 participants. Participation in the Erasmus+ programme became a valuable experience for the students, opening new opportunities for professional development, international cooperation, and the exchange of ideas. The knowledge and skills gained will be applied in Ukraine to support the development of effective local governance and to strengthen the role of youth in society.
We congratulate our students and wish them continued success on the international stage!
