On October 24, the team from the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management at SumDU took part in a significant event. As part of the COIL class "International Business and Global Leadership," led by Professor Dipra Jha from Washington State University’s Carson College of Business, the team, comprising Associate Professor Tetyana Mayboroda, Assistant Anastasiia Niesheva, and Eduard Bohdan, a second-year bachelor’s student in the Management program, delivered a presentation on the topic "russian-Ukrainian Case: Storytelling, Impact on Global Relations, and Conflict Management."
For the SumDU team, this topic is both painful and crucial, as understanding the causes of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is essential for modern global leadership. The presentation revealed the war's impact on international relations and the challenges of achieving a swift and "peaceful" resolution through the lens of negotiation and conflict management theories and practices.
"I want to thank the students and colleagues of our virtual class for their attention, important questions, and, most of all, for their support," shared Tetyana Mayboroda. The joint discussions provided an opportunity to deepen the understanding of the war’s impact on global relations, drawing international attention to the complex situation in Ukraine.
"My only hope is that our next COIL class presentation will take place in a time of peace in our homeland," Tetyana Mayboroda concluded.
