This time we had Sofia Anzheliuk, Volunteer Coordinator in media-project Ukraïner visiting us on google-meet on Monday, December, 7th on the invitation of Tetyana Mayboroda, lecturer of Oleg Balatskiy Department of Management. The idea of such a webinar devoted to social projects and volunteer movement came during studying the course “Corporate Social Responsibility” with 3d year students of the degree program “Management”, which was supported & also joined by Head of the Department Dr. Hanna Shvindina, by 2nd year Management students & by 4th year students of the degree program “International Economic Relations and their lecturer Nadiya Kostyuchenko.
We have spoken on the following topics:
- UkraÏner as a successful example of non-profit enterprise;
- Volunteer community as new value of our skills;
- Challenges in the volunteer management;
- Outcomes which we never expected;
- Case of special project of Holodomor;
- and many other aspects during the Q&A session.
What is moreover:
- we have opened Ukraine and it’s variety & beauty we have never known, as well as amazing people, social projects created by them, their strength & energy;
- we have felt the synergy of volunteer community – more than 400 volunteers from more than 40 countries, translations of the webpages, channels and stories into 9 languages (and still more languages are coming on board).
- we got motivated to be more socially responsible to our country, society & community.
As a quote from the meeting, we can outline the following: “For UkraÏner & the team is really important to be responsible for the impact we are making and for what we are doing. Since the project has started, we have realized that Ukrainians do not know each other. So, working in this project we all trying to build the society open to each other, to the world and to the changes”.
