On March 10, Yuliia Opanasiuk, a senior lecture of the department, attended the seminar "Dutch Labor Market Training" from the international company “Van Oord” (Netherlands).
Van Oord is a Dutch family-owned company with over 150 years of experience as an international marine contractor. In 2018 Van Oord received the right to use the designation Koninklijk ('Royal'). It crowns the 150 years of entrepreneurship, spirit and perseverance displayed by our predecessors and all our employees today. Van Oord's history includes major Dutch hydraulic projects such as the construction of the Nieuwe Waterweg, the Delta Works and the expansion of the Port of Rotterdam with a second Maasvlakte. The deepening of the Suez Canal, the expansion of the Surabaya port, the construction of the Palm Islands in Dubai and the Gemini offshore wind farm are just some of the projects that have put the company on the world map.
At the seminar, the participants got acquainted with the company's activities, analyzed its history, talked about how to write a CV and a motivation letter, went through interesting tasks from employers.
We are sure that with the acquired knowledge Opanasyuk Yu.A. will share with our students!
