Today is the birthday of our teacher, founder of the department and brilliant scientist Oleg Fedorovych Balatsky. A person lives as long as he is remembered. Therefore, we remember to develop a scientific school and attract talented young people to research.
Teachers of Sumy State University (Oleksii Demikhov, PhD, senior lecturer of the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management, and Nadiia Demikhova, DSc, professor of the Department of Family Medicine) participated in the academic mobility program ERASMUS+KA171 at the Tallinn University of Technology with teaching with lections "The experience of the EU regarding the sustainable development of local communities" and "Health care policy in post-conflict societies: modern challenges" on March 1-13, 2023.
05/04/2023 within the framework of the "Investment Management" discipline, students of the M-01 group got acquainted with the features of the stock exchange, crypto-exchange and the features of cryptocurrency investments. Budyak Anton, a student of this group, became an invited practitioner. He has considerable experience in trading on the BINANCE crypto-exchange, during the lecture he talked about the advantages and risks of this type of investment activity. Students saw the process of cryptocurrency trading online, asked questions and led an active discussion on the topic of the lecture. On March 23, the Round Table "New trends in training students of higher education in the specialty 281 "Public Management and Administration" was held, initiated by the Council for Inter-University Cooperation in the Field of Public Management and Administration.
The purpose of the round table was to discuss the urgent issues of training students for the specialty 281 "Public management and administration" taking into account the challenges of modern times. More than 100 participants took part in the work of the forum. Sumy State University was represented by Serhii Leonov, the first vice-rector, Igor Rekunenko, head of the Oleg Balatskyi management department and Yulia Opanasyuk, Guarantor of Educational Program "Public Management and Administration".
On April 25, 2023, a practice-oriented class was held for 1st and 3rd year bachelor students majoring in Management, as well as 1st and 2nd year students majoring in Public Administration with Maryna Saienko, an expert and certified business mediator, managing partner of the Attorney Union “Law of Victory”, a lecturer at the Higher School of Advocacy, and a trainer at the Ukrainian Mediation Center.
On March 10, Yuliia Opanasiuk, a senior lecture of the department, attended the seminar "Dutch Labor Market Training" from the international company “Van Oord” (Netherlands).

During three winter months, the associate professor of O.Balatslkyi Department of Management took part in the online course "Diplomacy: etiquette, protocol, business and intercultural communication" from the Expert Center Diplomacy: international relations, protocol etiquette with the support of the Ukrainian Foreign Policy Association. The course took place from December 3, 2022 to February 26, 2023 - a total of 60 academic hours. Speakers and experts were Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine (President of UAZP Volodymyr Khandogii, Vice-President of UAZP Oleksandr Kupchyshyn, Yuri Sergeev, Volodymyr Yelchenko), lecturers of Taras Shevchenko Institute of International Relations of KNU, as well as GDIP Media Center specialists.
On March 28, 2023, Associate Professor of the Department of Management Yuliia Opanasiuk took part in international conference on Ukraine's economic-social and scientific-educational stabilization and recovery from the effects of war. The conference was organized by the Aarhus Institute (Denmark).
