From June 8–12, Senior Lecturer the Oleh Balatskyi Department of Management at Sumy State University, Tetiana Bondar, visited Örebro (Sweden) to participate in person in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “International Perspectives in Higher Education – 2026.”
The in-person mobility was preceded by a series of Zoom sessions held throughout April–May, covering such topical issues as the internationalization of educational programmes, student-centered active learning and digitalization, education for sustainable development, artificial intelligence in education, and inclusive teaching.
The programme is part of the cooperation of Örebro University within the NEOLAiA Alliance.
The programme brought together teaching staff from universities within the NEOLAiA Alliance, lecturers from The Hague University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands), and Sumy State University.
Sumy State University is an associate partner of the NEOLAiA Alliance.
Approximately 50 participants from eleven higher education institutions across Europe gathered at Örebro University for the on-site phase to exchange valuable experience, engage in discussions on current trends in higher education within an international academic environment, participate in active team collaboration, and work on their own projects and individual pedagogical reflections.
On the first day, participants prepared presentations about their home cities and universities and developed COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project proposals that may serve as a foundation for future cooperation. The following days were filled with a variety of activities and events.

This was a unique opportunity to work with talented programme facilitators in international teams, alongside participants representing diverse fields of research and teaching.
It is expected that participation in the programme will further strengthen collaboration in educational and research activities within the framework of cooperation with European universities.

We sincerely thank Örebro University, the programme leader and facilitators, as well as all participants, for the opportunity to take part in this truly valuable academic mobility programme.
