The educators should update their qualifications, should master the main trends in the education and surf the waves of change. That’s why during last two months our team members Yuliia Opanasiuk and Tetyana Mayboroda have been attended the course “Public speaking”. The lector of the course was Andrey Lubchenko, the famous entertain master in the city, who is a founder of the “WineFest”, “StreetFood Fest”, “Italian Street Fest”. During the course our colleagues have been taught, how to overcome the personal barriers and fears of public speaking, how to react on internal and external stressors, specifics of working with microphone, and how to deal with unusual situations. The last class was devoted to the improvisation, where the attendees were able to present the motivational speech, and literally to react the environmental stressors, and to deal with the public. And here you are – the certificates! We are happy for our colleagues and wish them to implement the ideas as soon as possible in the classroom.

On 4th of Novermber, the successful defense of the doctoral dissertation presented by Hanna Shvindina took place. The theme of the research is “Methodology for forming the coopetition model of organizational development of an enterprise”. The scientific adviser is Tetyana Vasilyeva - Doctor of Economics, Professor, Director of the Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of FEM. The official opponents were: Natalia Pedchenko - Doctor of Economics, Professor, First Vice-Rector of Poltava University of Economics and Trade of Higher Educational Institution, Alla Cherep - Doctor of Economics, Professor, Dean of Economics at Zaporizhzhya National University, Olena Yastremskaya, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Management, Logistics and Economics at the Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University.
November 7, 2019, lecturer of the department of management Demikhov O. conducted a field trip for students of the specialty "Public health" and "Public administration" at "Sumy Regional Center of Public Health ". The Center's leaders told the students about the modern development of a new for Ukraine public health field. Innovative aspects of the use of information and communication technologies as tools of e-government were revealed. Students were introduced to the Center's functionality, job opportunities and requirements for job applicants. Future public administration specialists in government and local government have acquired practical competences in their specialty, such as healthcare management.
On October 28, 2019, an excursion for the freshmen from the Department of Management was held in Sumy State University Library. The participants of the event were the students of group М-91 (specialty “Management”) of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management.
During the excursion, students get acquainted with innovative and traditional library services, online services and visited specialized reading rooms.
Students learned about interesting facts from the history of Sumy State University, about the participation of the library in various cultural and educational projects. The freshmen were pleasantly surprised by the number of biblioquests, painting exhibitions and literary and musical evenings that organize the Library's divisions.
