The PhD student of the department of management Kotenko Stanislav and associate professor of the department of philosophy, political science, and sociology, Kupenko Olena represented Sumy State University at the II International Conference “The Resurrection of the Decency of People of Golden Age in Ukraine”. The conference took place in Olefyryvka of Poltava oblast in the period from 25th to 27th of November. The main sessions were devoted to the learning and teaching for adults, social activities with this age group and the experience of Polish colleagues became one of the insights. This conference involved the representatives from different organizations of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy oblasts, the managers of regional departments of the charity organization “Karitas Ukraine”, representatives of “Lvivska Politekhnika”, Poltava National Pedagogical University, Lublin Catholic University named after Pope John Paul II, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The the conference was supported by Greek-Catholic Church of Ukraine.

On the 28th of November the ceremony of the awarding within the event for youth “Student of the Year 2019” took place, aimed to create an impulse for further development of the youth in Sumy. The nominees of the programme were students of 5 universities, who have awards and GPA at level A and B. Oscar system was the system of decision-making, special committee has chosen the winners among others on basis of CV, characteristics, and other documents. As a result, Mykyta Kovalevskyi won “The Best Political Activist of Sumshchyna”. Mykyta is a student of ARI FEM named after Oleg Balatskyi, specialty 073 “Management”. Mykyta commented on this: “in 2018 I won the “Best Leader of the Year”, being at school, and now I’ like to say that in my vision youth stays in Sumy and develops local community”.
This fall, students of the department of management Malyonkina I. and Kalyuzhna Y. (“Public Management & Administration” training) took part in Cases Championship under supervision of team member Mishenina G., and with the support of adviser on the regional development of Sumy Centre of Development of Local Government Starykov H.
This competition “The Championship of cases of united territorial communities (UTC) ”was organized within the framework of DESPRO Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralization Support in Ukraine” and with help of CASERS Platform. Cases were given by 16 UTCs from all around Ukraine, and the evaluation committee involved authorities from UTC and the representatives of DESPRO School of Local Government. As a result, the team from Sumy State University “Changemakers” won the first place among all the players in a process of practical case solving for Pokrovska UTC (Dnipropetrovska Oblast).
On November 28, 2019, the Lead Manager of the First Ukrainian International Bank (2d Branch in the Sumy city) Oleksij Dubina was invited to take part in the practical class of the course "Investment Management" (educator - Ph.D., Associate Professor Iuliia Myroshnychenko). The event was held as part of a student-centered practical training for the students of the group M-71, specialty "Management". Oleksij Dubina describes features of loan investment resources formation for the enterprises and scheme of credit repayment. In addition, students got a financial literacy master class with information about importance of accounting and controlling their own finances and the need to create a "financial airbag".
