Inna Malonkina, a 4th year student of the PМ-71 group, started full-time study in Riga under a scholarship program of the Government of Latvia after 14 days of self-isolation. In Latvia, Inna will study for one semester at the BA School of Business and Finance in Riga.
Regularly participating in various mobility programs, Inna gains new knowledge, acquaintances, develops useful skills and finds friends. With her achievements she motivates classmates and other students of the department to participate in international mobility programs.
After spending two weeks in self-isolation, Inna does not lose optimism about being set up for fruitful learning. She advises enjoying every opportunity to travel and discover new horizons, and pandemics and quarantine should not be an obstacle.
This year the annual contest among the educators is ended, and we happily pronounce that our colleagues are nominated as the winners! Denys Smolennikov has won the first place at University level, and Alona Yevdokymova conquered the third place among the colleagues of Institute of FEM. This event is a tradition now, as every year our team members gain TOP ranking positions. Denys and Alona inspire by their spirits, their attitudes, sincerity and devotion to the learning and research. We are proud of you, and wish you further success!
This Fall the new learning module “International Busines Strategy” will start jointly with Washington State University. Professor Dipra Jha, associate professor in the Carson College of Business and Assistant Director of the School of Hospitality Business Management, initiated the joint lecturing with several Business Schools and two interactions – on the 1st and 8th of October will be provided by the Dr Shvindina Hanna, the representative of Sumy State University. The learning module takes place within the course “Management: Advanced Course” and is promised to be very helpful for the students in Management major. The Virtual framework means that students from both universities have classes simultaneously and interact with each other during the lecturing and seminars.

On Saturday, 15th Climbing Club of Sumy city under the initiative of National Union of Ghana Students - Sumy and organizational support of Vice-director of ARI FEM, lecturer of Management Department Dr. Tetyana Mayboroda –arranged an outdoor climbing training for international students of SumDU. What an amazing emotions and experience for all parties!

On the 24th of September, Dr Hanna Shvindina took part in the International Conference 4IR 2020 “4.0 Industrial Revolution: Transforming Businesses” organized by Higher College of Technology, the UAE’s largest applied higher educational institution (Dubai). This conference was held online, where the results of the joint research of our colleagues were presented. The collaboration between our department of Sumy State University (Ukraine) and School of Aerospace Engineering and Aviation of RMIT (Australia) is a long-run and fruitful. Dr Iryna Heiets and Dr Hanna Shvindina published several papers devoted to the Coopetition & Strategies Development in Aviation. Dr Shvindina presented the results of the joint research. The sessions took place during the whole day and were extremely interesting, involved the best experts in the field and top-ranked researchers. The conference took place on the highest level, the discussions were insightful and inspiring.
The new academic year starts with training and networking. On the 4th of September the head of the department, Hanna Shvindina, took part in the training “ICC Competence Training for Trainers”. The speaker was ICC expert, Dr Kseniya Rubicondo, who is a professional in the fields of public affairs and urban policy development (PhD, Chicago, MPA, California, USA). ► More details about the speaker
We should remind that our colleagues from Sumy State University became the co-authors of Intercultural Strategy for Sumy, and this event is a logical follow-up of the work accomplished in a sphere of city strategy development. This is one of the many events within the positive transformation of our society towards tolerance and intercultural cooperation.
An insightful online lecture on strategic management was provided to students of the groups GR-901 (speciality «Public Health»), PU-71 («Public Administration and Management»), and M-71 («Management»).
The practically oriented event was organized by a senior lecturer of the Management Department, Ph.D. of PA - Demikhov O.
Within the scope of the practically oriented event, Larysa Mykolayivna Panasenko, Deputy Medical Director for AIDS Prevention and Control of the Sumy Regional Council of the Regional Clinical Medical Center for Socially Dangerous Diseases, was invited to address the students.
The online lecture covered the issues of strategic priorities and the main functions of healthcare as well as organization of personnel management processes in this area. The lecturer commented on the content of strategic documents and outlined key issues, especially in the current context of the spread of coronavirus. The students were also demonstrated activities to stimulate business in the field of healthcare.
The beginning of the new academic year is the beginning of a new friendship, new projects, and new plans! The representatives of Sumy Employer Council welcomed students on the occasion of a new academic year start.
