The educational process of applicants of the group DSmz-01, specialty "Public Administration" (educational program "Civil Service") continues. On Tuesday, February 23, 2021. within the discipline "Research in the public sphere" applicants got acquainted not only with the theoretical foundations of scientific research, but also studied the features of information collection, analysis and grouping in the public sphere. Such features and practical experience were shared by Yulia Kovalenko, a practitioner, chief specialist of the Sumy City Council's organization department. In particular, within the theme "Processing and design of research results. Working with Information ”a number of issues related to registration and further work with various materials and information were considered. On Friday, February 19, Tetyana Mayboroda, Deputy Director of the Institute BiEM, lecturer at the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management, and Mykola Bozhko, Director of the Department of International Education of SumDU, took part in the seminar "Internationalization of higher education: legal regulation of the process of inviting international students to study in Ukraine" which took place at Sumy National Agrarian University.
The main speaker of the seminar was Ms. Olena Shapovalova, Director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education, who presented innovations in the admission process of international students, peculiarities of international activities of higher educational institutions and information on creation of Unified Interdepartmental Electronic Database on International Students Recruitment, as well as several legislative changes related to this process.

Fourth-year students majoring in Public Management and Administration within the framework of the course "Management of European Integration Processes" (Lecturer - Iuliia Myroshnychenko) attended several online events Ukraine-NATO relations and membership prospects. Co-organizers of the meetings - SumDU Research Center for Regional Security. On February 10, a series of lectures and discussions were held for students with NATO Headquarters' representatives to discuss the history of NATO's creation and the Alliance's activities through the prism of public diplomacy.
Students asked interesting questions about the organization of NATO activities and the peculiarities of the work of diplomats. Also, on February 17, students from the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management joined the briefing "Sustainability and Security: Why Ukraine Can Learn in NATO?". The discussion was devoted to NATO's activities in public diplomacy and relations with Ukraine, the regional aspects of national security and the importance of using information and communication tools and social networks for security issues.
