Teachers of the Department of Management continue to improve their pedagogical skills and build the educational process in line with the global trends. For example, from December 12 to December 14, 2019, Associate Professor of Management Department, Oleg Balatskyi Deputy Director of FEM, Denys Smolennikov participated in the training for trainers within the project "E-Learning4SD / Online Education for Sustainable Development". The project is being implemented by the UNDP with the financial support from German Government through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and provides for the dissemination and advocacy of an on-line course for sustainable development among Ukrainian public servants.
The training was conducted at the training center of the Ukrainian School of Government (http://usg.org.ua/) and brought together more than 40 teachers, civil servants and NGO representatives who were selected to become trainers for the project. Particular attention was paid to the methodology of the training and its tools. The next phase of the project is scheduled for January 2020. It will include the development of meaningful parts of future trainings and their piloting.

On the 20th of December our colleague Tetyana Mayboroda successfully defended her PhD thesis at Higher Educational Institution of Ukoopspilka «Poltava University of Economics and Trade» in Poltava. The topic is “State regulation of education in the context of the development of national economy ”. The scientific Supervisor is professor Lyeonov Serhiy, Dr.Sci.. The National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education is actively preparing experts on accreditation of educational programs. One of the stages of this training is the training of potential experts in the face-to-face training. During December 10-11, the SSU underwent appropriate training at the "Laboratory of Ideas" of the Department of Management. One of our team members took part in it. The assistant to the Department of Management, Ph.D. of PA Demikhov O. successfully accomplished the training. The future experts mastered the competencies in evaluating educational programs, communication skills with focus groups and the psychology. So, instead of formal administrative functions, an expert advises and helps a higher education institutions to improve their educational programs. It is such a European approach that will allow us to reform our higher education system!
