Postgraduate students of the second year (the educational program "Management") joined the meeting with an expert-practitioner. The event was organized in the context of the discipline "Behavioural models of decision-making in management." There was a lively discussion with the Deputy Director of the farm "Farm Eco" Yaryna BAGATYRENKO. The organization from Lebedyn specializes in breeding snails Helix Aspersa Muller, has related businesses. Issues related to exports, problems of conducting such an unusual business, making business decisions in the face of external threats and the COVID-19 pandemic, factors changing the behavior of domestic consumers were discussed.

During the week, starting from December 15, 2021. at the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management were presentations of master's theses (educational program "Civil Service"). Current issues, interesting solutions, sound reports, lively discussions and a lot of practice-oriented information were discussed during the presentation of master's theses. All speakers are specialists in the field of public administration, so many interesting ideas were researched and presented. We thank our graduates of the educational program "Civil Service" for their interesting reports. We are confident that the results of these developments will be useful in the implementation of reforms taking place in the field of public administration in Ukraine.
01.12. In 2021 there was an online lecture-meeting with graduate students majoring in "Management". Alina Poznanska, a graduate of the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management (project manager, author of social films, developer of teambuilding and simulation games for business structures), who studied in the specialty "Management" and under the guidance of Balatsky Oleg. They talked about the practical aspects of management, its principles, features of implementation and systematization. Alina shared her experience on the relevance and features of management in modern conditions, which is very useful for graduate students when writing research. Special attention was paid to the issues of team management in projects and value chains and priority tasks. Applicants in the specialty "Management" and "Management of socio-cultural activities" also joined the lecture.
The issue of open data of local managers worries both the relevant community and representatives of local governments and is especially relevant in the context of digitalization.

During the event, it was useful for students to learn about the experience of cities in public disclosure and work with open data, hear experts and discuss current challenges for local communities in this aspect.
Professor of Oleg Balastkyi Department of Management, Doctor of Economics Hanna Shvindina, and the Head of the Department of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yuriy Petrushenko took part in the Kick-off forum of the Urban X-change project, which is taking place in the framework of cooperation between the twin cities of Sumy and Celle. During the meeting, our colleagues, and representatives of the Sumy City Council, Oksana Kubrak, project manager, and donors representatives worked out ideas for further development.
This event is an important first step for the project. The Adult education Centre representatives from Celle and Sumy, the representatives from both cities as well as the Urban X-Change Programme Manager, met for the first time in this constellation. During the Kick-off forum, the city partners had the opportunity to get to know each other better and to elaborate the ideas for further cooperation.
November 12, 2021 within the discipline "Strategic Alliances and Collaborations" (lecturer Doctor of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Shvindina H.) 2-nd year graduate students gr. A-01 / M and 3-rd year graduate students (educational and scientific program 073 "Management") had a great opportunity not only to gain theoretical knowledge about the organization of strategic alliances, but also studied the practical features of such activities. Such features and practical experience were shared by a specialist-practitioner, Doctor of Philosophy, Project Coordinator of the Representation of the Foundation named after Friedrich Ebert in Ukraine Olena Davlikanova (Kyiv). Many interesting and well-founded issues were considered in the framework of the topic "Using the project approach in the formation of strategic alliances and collaborations." Discussion and interesting questions arose among graduate students about their own research, namely in the field of innovation projects, projects in the field of energy management, team management in project-oriented organizations.
It should be noted that Olena Davlikanova is well versed in the scientific problems of graduate students, as she is a graduate of SSU and successfully defended her dissertation on the specialty 073 "Management" (2021). Prior to that, she completed a master's degree in "Project Management" at the Department of Management of SSU.

During the month, lecturers of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management, Ph.D., Associate Professor Opanasyuk Yuliia and Ph.D., Associate Professor Matvieieva Yuliia conducted a series of online trainings for citizens, which were actively attended by students of Sumy State University. All participants received a lot of positive emotions, new acquaintances, certificates and replenished their skill-box. During the reflections, the participants repeatedly mentioned the offline format.
We fulfilled one of the participants’ wishes.
The last block of training in “Face-to-face” format took place on November 27−28.
The meeting took place provided that all participants and representatives had certificates of full vaccination.
Everyone really missed communications, so they had the opportunity to take part in business games, discussions and just coffee breaks.
An unforgettable and inspiring meeting of students, postgraduate students and lecturers of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management with Professor Dipra Jha, Associate Dean of Carson College of Business, Washington State University, took place on November 30 at Congress Center SumDU. The cohort of lecturers, active participants of COIL projects was represented by lecturers of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management: professor Hanna Shvindina, who initiated the implementation of such modules and virtual classes in teaching together with professor Dipra in 2019, Yulia Opanasyuk and Tetyana Mayboroda, and Alla Krasulya, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of FPhSC, lecturer of the Germanic Philology Department. After more than two years of working in COIL modules and implementing them in academic disciplines, virtual classrooms and online projects, students and postgraduate students had the opportunity to join live, rich and interactive communication with Professor Dipra. The topics spoken were about modern teaching methods, about finding ourselves in the world, about employment and future career perspectives, about personal development and much more, and our students and postgraduate students raised an incredible number of interesting questions and topics for discussion.
November 29, 2021 within the discipline "Operational processes in public administration" bachelors of the gr. EN-93 / 2pu (students of the educational program "Public Administration") had a great opportunity to gain knowledge and learn the practicalities of organizing activities in the public administration.
Such features and practical experience were shared by Mykola Borysenko, a practitioner, chief specialist of the department for organizing the activities of the Sumy City Council. Many interesting and well-founded issues were considered in the framework of the topic "Quality management of public services". Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of implementing new processes and reforms in the public administration.
