92001a68-e284-4d00-8765-85471ab4ac2bOn September 13, 2022, the first-year students of the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management visited the K1 building, where they met the head of the department, Igor Ivanovich Rekunenko, and the group curator, Stanislav Igorovich Kotenko. Students were informed about the peculiarities of the chosen specialties, potential opportunities within the framework of educational and extracurricular work. As part of the meeting, elders were elected, senior students who were invited to the meeting spoke about their educational experience and the role of student assets in the life of the university. Student curators shared their impressions of online education, student leisure activities and invited "first-timers" to join the friendly student family of BIEM.

Newly graduated students are very motivated and are already waiting for the beginning of the school year!

On May 23, 2022, a practice-oriented event was held at the Department of Management - a meeting with our employers - representatives of the international audit company "Deloitte". The meeting was organized by O. Demikhov, PhD in Public Administration, Senior Lecturer of the Department. The students were interested to hear information about the relevance of involving a variety of specialists in the audit company, including professionals in cybersecurity, consulting, HR, management, fundraising, education, linguistics and law. We thank our stakeholders for an interesting presentation of their activities! We hope for further productive cooperation!

 

On June 20–21, the defense of qualifying papers of the specialty “Management” (study program "Management") of English-speaking group took place. Students presented the results of their own research at a high level, highlighting the practical aspects of their thesis. They were assigned a bachelor's degree in management. Congratulations to our graduates on their successful defense!

We wish the success and implementation of plans for our graduates!

 

 

The Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management continues to expand the range of research in the field of management and public administration. Thus, on May 25, 2022, a scientific seminar was held, during which the scientists of the department discussed the priority scientific areas and and identified the topics of future researches. Also during the scientific discussion the format and thematic sections of the International Scientific Conference were determined.

We wish our scientists significant success and scientific achievements!

On the 21 of May, Sumy State University and the whole country celebrate the Day of Science. Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management sincerely congratulates dear scientific and pedagogical workers, graduate students, and students on this important holiday!

Science is the main driving force for the country's sustainable economic development. Thus, scientists of the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management are creating a solid scientific base for the development of the Sumy region and Ukraine.

Talented researchers and students of our department perform basic research, develop innovative concepts and methods, find ways to solve scientific problems and promote the integration of solutions in many areas of the national economy.

Due to their high professionalism, the scientists of the Department make a significant contribution to the development of the economic and managerial industry. Their research contributes to improving management at various levels, increasing the productivity of enterprises, environmental protection, attracting foreign investments, and, in a global sense, improving the quality of life of Ukrainians.

Researchers of our Department actively publish articles in Ukrainian and foreign scientific journals, allowing us to share our experience at the country's level and in the international scientific community.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Management, Ph.D. Opanasiuk Yuliia onducted a series of training on "Self-Management" at the Warsaw Higher School of Ecology and Management during May 22-27, 2022.

Ms. Yuliia was invited to an internship under the cooperation agreement between Sumy State University and the Warsaw Higher School of Ecology and Management under the Erasmus + program. According to the academic mobility agreement, the teacher conducted a training in Self-Management for students of speciality "Design" and "Architecture".

The training was devoted to goal setting and methods of achieving them. The study aroused great interest among students and teachers.

Participation in this program gives teachers the opportunity to increase professional competencies; to improve speaking skills, in particular, professional communication in English; to establish cooperation between faculties, teachers and students.

On May 17, 2022, at the meeting at the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management, of PhD students of the second year of study (specialty 073 "Management") reported.

During the professional practice of PhD students in the period from April 18 to May 15, 2022 got acquainted with the educational, scientific, methodological and organizational activities at the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management, reviewed educational and methodological documentation of the department.

Get acquainted with various forms and methods of teaching disciplines. Prepared methodical development of the chosen discipline and gained experience in conducting classes.

Congratulations to PhD students with the first experience of teaching and gaining skills of independent teaching, educational and research work with students.
