More than 140 participants of the Global Virtual Professional Development Program “Excellence in Teaching & Research” gained their certificates. This program is designed for Ph.D. students, researchers, junior lecturers & academics, faculty members, and graduates interested in a teaching or research career and developed jointly with Washington State University, initiated by Sumy State University. This program included nine intense interactive sessions and an independent study of participants for a final report.
The guest speakers of the program are representatives of TOP-ranked Universities, such as Bahcesehir University (Turkey), London School of Economics (UK), Montpellier Business School (France), Purdue University (the US), Sumy State University (Ukraine), University of Nebraska-Lincoln (the US), University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee (the US), Varna University of Management (Bulgaria), Washington State University (the US).
On May 6 the practice-oriented event, a practical class on the topic: “State Audit Office of Ukraine as an effective institution of government control” was held for students of the 2nd year of the specialty “Public Management and Administration”. The class was conducted by Dmytro Borozenets, Deputy Head of the North-Eastern Office of the State Audit Office of Ukraine in the Sumy Region. The event was held for students of the 2nd academic year of the specialty “Public Management and Administration” of the educational program “Public Management and Administration” in the discipline “Program-targeted approach in public administration” (teacher Tetiana Bondar).
The event was also attended by students of the 1st and 3rd academic years in the specialty “Public Management and Administration” of the educational program “Public Management and Administration”.
On May 15, 2021, Svitlana Kolosok, an associate professor of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management, earned the Azure Fundamentals certification issued by Microsoft. Azure Fundamentals certification requires a foundational level knowledge of cloud data, security, services, and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure.
The American Council on Education has evaluated Microsoft Certificate: Azure Fundamentals for two college credits on information technology (or cloud computing).
On April 22, postgraduate students and students majoring in 073 "Management" had a great opportunity to talk to the top manager of the system construction company.
Kateryna Sivakova, Director of Strategic Partnership of the construction company ArtBudService (Kyiv) attended the Online Classes. The online meeting was held as part of the study of disciplines "Theory of Organizations" (teacher: Opanasyuk Yu.A) and "Management of Organizational Development" (teacher: Mishenina H.A). «Art Wood Service» performs a full range of turnkey construction works, acts as general contractor, manages projects, provides design and engineering services, cooperates with world-famous brands - such as Nestle, Kraft Foods, DANONE, Nova Poshta, Flex, builds facilities under the US Government's Humanitarian Aid Program (EUCOM) and the United Nations Children's Fund in Ukraine (UNICEF).
During the meeting, students talked about the structure of business processes, the peculiarities of the organizational structure of the company. They also talked about the threats and opportunities of work during lockdown, corporate culture, new projects and failures.
On May 5-6, the International scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists named after professor Oleg Balatsky «Economic problems of sustainable development» was held online. The conference was attended by students, graduate students, young scientists of the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management. Urgent economic issues were discussed. Participants presented interesting results of their research in reports. The winners in the field of Management Organizations were:

An interview-oriented lecture was held on April 27 as part of the practice-oriented training. Bohdan Bilous, a director of "VKP ZVZ" LLC, visited the 3rd year students of the specialty "Management". The meeting was organized by Olga Dreval, Associate Professor of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management.
The lecture-interview had provided answers of the expert to actual questions concerning planning of financial results within the course "Planning of enterprise activity". The answers were and easily perceived by the student audience. The answers were thorough and easily perceived by the student audience. Some of the financier's statements were sensational. For example, Belous Bogdan estimates the crisis year 2020 for many companies as the best year in the last ten years!
On May 6, a panel discussion of graduate students and teachers of the department with employers in the specialty "Management" took place online.
During the meeting, postgraduate students of the department Stanislav Kotenko and Anastasia Nesheva made reports on the results of their own research before defending their dissertations. Then our employers were asked to discuss the topics and content of work, to provide advice to young scientists. Industry experts took an active part in the discussion:

As part of the study of the topic "Staff Hiring" in the discipline "Personnel Management" students of groups M-81/1, M-81 / 2n, MPn-81-9, Mz-81s, Mz-83-0s 12.04.21 took part in the webinar "Trial period: set without errors", which was conducted by the head of the Expert group of the thematic direction of the digital publishing house MCFR "STAFF" Iryna Mykolaiyvna Zhytkova.
The information received by students aroused keen interest both from the point of view of studying the corresponding subject, and from an important practical component of employment of graduates.
