Fourth-year students majoring in Public Management and Administration within the framework of the course "Management of European Integration Processes" (Lecturer - Iuliia Myroshnychenko) attended several online events Ukraine-NATO relations and membership prospects. Co-organizers of the meetings - SumDU Research Center for Regional Security. On February 10, a series of lectures and discussions were held for students with NATO Headquarters' representatives to discuss the history of NATO's creation and the Alliance's activities through the prism of public diplomacy.

Students asked interesting questions about the organization of NATO activities and the peculiarities of the work of diplomats. Also, on February 17, students from the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management joined the briefing "Sustainability and Security: Why Ukraine Can Learn in NATO?". The discussion was devoted to NATO's activities in public diplomacy and relations with Ukraine, the regional aspects of national security and the importance of using information and communication tools and social networks for security issues.

Professor Erdogan Koç is a Professor of Behavioural Sciences / Consumer Behaviour & Marketing Management at Bahcesehir University, Head of Human Behavior LAB.

Professor Erdogan Koç received his BA from the University of Istanbul, his MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff Business School (UK), and his Ph.D. from Oxford Brookes University (UK).

Professor Koç has papers published in top-ranked journals indexed in the SSCI, such as “Tourism Management”, “Public Relations Review”, and “International Journal of Intercultural Relations”. He was selected to the “Best Management Authors Hall of Fame” by the Emerald Management Reviews.

Professor Koç is an author of several books and book chapters published by internationally reputable publishers. His book “Consumer Behavior and Marketing Strategies: Global and Local Approach” (Tüketici Davranışı ve Pazarlama Stratejileri: Global ve Yerel Yaklaşım) is one of the most cited in the country.

On February 18, 2021, Larysa Valenkevych, Associate Professor of the Department of Management named after Oleg Balatsky, conducted a mini-training on leadership for students of the 2-3 year specialty "Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Exchange Activity" of the Machine-Building Professional College of SSU.

During the meeting, the main qualities of a leader, differences in opportunities for influence, and the degree of responsibility for a formal and informal leader's management decision, the leader's role in creating a team, and the microclimate in the group were identified.

Inna Balahurovska, Phd student in Management studies, took part in training of facilitators. As a result, the certificate of facilitator is issued and now Inna has an opportunity to manage trainings in the sphere of information education.

The Facilitator who has in-depth knowledge, skills and experience in implementing the Active Citizens programme and who meets the British Council’s criteria of conducting activities and training other facilitators.

In 2020-2022, Facilitators will be involved in the following activities under the Active Citizens programme: seminars for new facilitators (representatives of partner organisations which train active citizens), local and regional pitchings, national and study visits, national conferences and other events which the British Council organises.

Sumy State University, jointly with Washington State University, is offering a free certificate program for Ph.D. students, researchers, junior lecturers & academics, faculty members, and graduates interested in a teaching or research career.

This professional development program will be delivered virtually and is aimed at sharing best practices in scholarly research and instructional strategies among a new generation of PhD students and university faculty to scale up achievements in academia and unleash opportunities for collaborative innovation. The technology of delivering – Microsoft Teams, the language is English.

A certificate of completion will be available after attending the sessions and completing an individual assignment. A digital version of the certificate will be sent to participants by email.

The first session of the Global Virtual Class took place on 4h of February, which is one of many planned within a new course «International Relations and Global Leadership». This course is designed and provided jointly with the Washington State University. From Sumy State University, the following faculty will participate this semester: Dr. Hanna Shvindina, Dr. Tetyana Mayboroda, and Dr. Yuliia Opanasiuk. The initiator and leading instructor of the class is Professor Dipra Jha, Assistant Director and Scholarly Associate Professor of School of Hospitality Business Management at Carson College of Business (Washington State University).

Welcome remarks were performed by Dr. Tom Tripp, Professor of Management, Rom Markin Endowed Leadership Chair in Business, and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Washington State University Carson College of Business.

On February 11, the Department of Management held an online meeting of the EPR in the specialty "Public Administration and Administration".

On the agenda was the issue of summing up the results for 1 semester of the current academic year. We report that during this period, industry practitioners held 22 online lectures for put students! An impressive figure !!!

Also, our employers were announced the results of the revision of the work programs of academic disciplines for 2020-2021 for OPP "Public administration and administration" (bachelor's degree), "Administrative management" (master's degree), "Public service" (master's degree), "Management and administration in health protection" (master's degree).

Onischenko Margarita, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management took part in the International Internet Conference "Débats scientifiques et orientations prospectives du développement scientifique" February 5, 2021. Paris.
