The amazing event had a place on Tuesday, 3rd of March 2020. Mister Volodymyr Lobodin have visited the department of management, who at one time went all the way for the agrarian farm to the work at the field in the UK, from gasoline station employee to the director of Trade and Entertainment Centre “Manufactura”. During the lecture, Mister Lobodin emphasized on the necessity of lifelong learning, evaluation of all the consequences of making decisions and corporate social responsibility.

The students entered the discussion actively, being the representatives of two specialities “Management” (groups )M-81, M-82, M-61) and “Public Administration” (groups PU-71, PU-81 ). Moreover, Viktoria Vovchenko, the undergraduate of Management, presented her business idea of a real project and got the advice from Mister Lobodin. That was real pitching of ideas in a real-time! The investments are not only money but valuable information – consulting or the contacts that will help to start. We hope that it will be just the first step in scaling-up for the business of our students!

On March 04, 2020, Associate Professor of Department of Management Svitlana Kolosok spoke at public lecture about the 7 steps to make learning more accessible. Teachers from 15 educational institutions attended a lecture to learn about modern inclusive education. Office 365 accessibility tools, Windows and Lens, Microsoft Learning Tools were discussed at the lecture. All trainees received certificates confirming their participation.

During February 19-21 at the department there were defended graduate works of students of the educational program "Public Service". Graduates during the defense have shown professionalism in the public sphere, knowledge of legislation and regulations, ability to find problems in the field of public administration and ways to solve them. The results obtained had a clear practical orientation. All the works were commissioned by state and local governments.

The papers dealt with topical issues of providing administrative services, reforming the tax and budgetary sphere, etc.

The defense of diploma work is another step towards success in the professional field of our graduates.

We sincerely wish our graduates professional and academic success. Further development and growth in their professional field.

29th of February is the International Rare Disease Day. European Organisation for Rare Diseases established this day in 2008 to raise awareness for unknown or overlooked illnesses. The students of Sumy State University organized the photo session and made a social video to support the carriers of the orphan disease. The event involved 10 students among them are the students of our department.

Bachelor students of the specialty "Public Administration and Administration" and the specialty "Management" visited the Sumy City Council on 20th of February, 2020. The practice-oriented event was organized and conducted by the teachers of the Department of Management Lukianikhin V.A. and Demikhov O.I.

At the beginning, the students was delivered the speech by Mr. Pak S.Y., the Deputy Mayor - the Steering Committee of the Executive Committee, who explained the peculiarities of the work of local self-government institutions.

Further, the head of the department of organizational and personnel work Antonenko A.G. spoke with the youth about the legislative requirements for holding competitions for the replacement of vacant positions in local self-government. The legislation on preventing corruption was one of the parts of his presentation.

Teaching and Learning Symposium took place on 28th 2020 in Nebraska, at Innovation Campus Conference Center of University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where Professor Dipra Jha presented his results on using Virtual Exchange as a Teaching Tool. The Head of the Department Dr Hanna Shvindina performed as well as a co-presenter on the event via Zoom Video Communication. The session was devoted to the discussion of the opportunities appeared due to the collaborative online international learning (COIL).

In continuation of the cooperation with professor Dipra Jha (University of Nebraska-Lincoln), he kindly joined our course on Strategic Management with the topic “Strategic Thinking”. The lecture was performed in English, and it went well for the student in Management studies. Our colleagues from Whitefield Business School joined the class, who supported the project on Advanced Learning. Gratefulness to Mayboroda Tetyana, initiator of the Ukraine-Mauritius collaboration and Vakulenko Ihor who provides technical support.

 

 

 

Associate Professor of Management Department Onishchenko M.L. and students of 10th grade 11 - LH class Hudkova Daryna (report on the topic: "The authenticity of the image of Miranda Prista as a modern manager" (by Loren Weissberger's novel "The Devil Wears Prada"); supervisors Senchurina L.Ie., teacher of foreign literature of the highest category and Onishchenko M.L., Ph.D., Associate Professor of SSU) and Deineha Anastasiia (report on the topic: "TO" AND "AFTER": ALASKA LAB LABIRINT, supervisor Senchurina L.Ie., teacher of foreign literature of the highest category) participated in the Conference "The First Step in Science 2020", held on 23.02.2020 at the Congress Center of the Sumy State University.
