On 29 November 2018 an excursion for students of the group PA-61 (Public Administration) (graduating Department of Management) was held at the Department of Property Management of the Sumy Regional Council within the practice-oriented preparation. During the meeting with the Deputy Head of Department Oleksii Siabrenko, the peculiarities of communal property management of the community in the framework of privatization and lease were discussed. Students acquired competencies regarding the issues of the regional council structure and its subdivisions. They got acquainted with the requirements and conditions of the first-time recruitment in local self-government bodies for young graduates of higher educational establishments.

During the autumn and spring semester, the associate professor of the Department of Management Myroshnychenko Iuliia Oleksandrivna will take part in the academic mobility program at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Vienna, Austria). The opportunity to get an overseas teacher’s experience arose as a result of obtaining a scholarship from the Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research (OeAD) within the Ernst Mach program (worldwide). The main tasks of the internship are conducting scientific research, obtaining new knowledge, exchanging experience, comparing approaches to teaching in Ukrainian and Austrian higher education institutions. The lecturer of the Department of Management actively participates in scientific seminars and workshops, attends lectures and practical classes in the field of economics, conducts scientific research by using library and electronic resources of the university.

On 12 December, 2018, within practical-oriented approach to learning, lectures of the Department of Management Mishenina Galina and Opanasyuk Yulia organized a themed excursion for students of the specialty "Public Management and Administration" Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management. It took in the «Administrative Services Center» in Sumy . The excursion program included the following blocks: structure and peculiarities of «Administrative Services Center», organization of public services for individuals and legal entities, staff-management in office, information and financial support. Students were acquainted with the activities of the Center, facilities and equipment, front- and back-office. Administrators have answered the students' questions. During the visit students had the opportunity to talk with the Head of the Center Strizhova Alla Viktorovna. The legislative initiatives of the government, their compliance with the current legislation and the plans of the «Administrative Services Center» for the future were discussed during the conversation.

From September 15 till September 22, 2018 the senior lecturer of the Department of Management Yuliia Opanasiuk took part in academic internship «Balanced economic and legal processes in society and business environment in the context of globalization”, which was held on the basis of the University of Economics - Varna, Bulgaria. The academic internship was organized by Kherson National Technical University. The academic internship included lectures by Bulgarian teachers, director of European Operation «TERRA EXPORTS INTL LLC» Mariya Dermendzhieva «Economic and legal problems and opportunities of international business» and PhD., Assoc. Prof. of Economics and Management of Commerce Department University of Economics – Varna Michal Stojanov «Consumer protection in the context of electronic commerce». As part of the internship, the conference "Ukraine-Bulgaria-European Union: Current Status and Prospects" was held.

On 23 November 2018 People’s Deputy Yurii Derevianchenko organized the public lecture on “Info-state. Information technologies as the mechanisms for implementing social policy” for the students of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management. It was held within the framework of the providing practical approach to the course “Legal enforcement of public administration” and other ones. The lecture considered issues regarding E-democracy in Ukraine and its development prospects in the context of the declared membership of Ukraine in the EU and NATO.

Students of the Department of Management Zaratuyko Igor and Zaratuyko Ruslan within the framework of the program of academic mobility, implemented on their own initiative in the form of "training", went to Centennial and Seneca colleges (Toronto, Canada).

In the framework of participation in the program of academic mobility at the Krakow Academy Miedzyzowski (Krakow, Poland) Miski Sniegana, a postgraduate student in higher education in specialty 281 "Public Management and Administration" (educational program "Administrative Management") of the Department of Management of Full-time Education in the period from 01.10.2018 to 31.12.2019 will be trained at the academy Modjevsky in the specialty "International relations".

Аssistant of the Department of Management Demikhov Oleksii was trained as part of the Orienteering Course of the Common Security and Defense Policy of the EU during October 22-26, 2018. Training events were conducted by experts from the European Defense College (Belgium) at the Ivan Chernyakhovsky National University of Defense (Kiev). The course was consisted of lectures and trainings on European security strategies, structures and procedures of the common security and defense policy, capacity development, as well as on missions and operations of the European Union. As a result of training participants received certificates.

From September 2018 to June 2019, for almost two full semesters, associate professor of the Department of Management, Hanna Shvindina will stay as a visiting scholar at the Purdue University, Indiana, USA within the Fulbright Program. Purdue University of Purdue, founded almost a century and a half ago, is now home to more than 3,000 teachers and a training ground for more than 40,000 students. The University has an expanded field of activities and research, and is well-known for its graduates such as Astronaut Neil Armstrong, Nobel Laureates in Physics Edward Miles Purcell and Ben Roy Mottelson, as well as  Akira Suzuki, Nobel Prizer in chemistry. Currently, two Nobel laureates, Herbert Brown and Ei-ichi Negishi, work at the Department of Chemistry. Among the graduates of the university are well-known businessmen and entrepreneurs, politicians who are Pulzer Prize-winners. Each year, the university expandes more than $ 450 million in support of research, attracting funds from state and federal agencies, industry, foundations and individual donors. The Fulbright Program provides an opportunity for researchers from different countries to exchange ideas, projects, and create a network of research innovations. Professor Vincent Daffy has been kindly invited our colleague to be hosted at his department for further collaboration in favor of two universities - Purdue University and Sumy State University. The Fulbright United States Science Exchange Program is sponsored by the State Department.
