On January 11, students of grades 9-10 of Sumy Specialized School No. 9 took part in an exciting training.
The training contributed not only to positive emotions, but also to a deeper understanding of the manager's role. Participants learned the secrets of successful management and key skills of a modern manager, which are important both for domestic companies and valued by each organizations

On January 4, a cycle of trainings from the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management for students of grades 9-10 began.
Energetic students of Sumy School No. 23 participated in the first training "Secrets of Product Quality", demonstrating interest and activity.

The next training "I am a manager" will take place on January 8, 2024.
On December 15 and 29, 2023, Anastasiya Nesheva, a teacher at the Department of Management, held practice-oriented events for foreign students. The events were devoted to the topics of business process management at enterprises and data analysis systems.
Master's degree students majoring in "Business Administration" took part in the event. They had the opportunity to get acquainted with modern digital technologies used in management and their application in business.
The event was held in the format of a master class. The lecturer was Yana Pashchenko, a representative of the Australian company Programmed, which has experience in using digital technologies in its activities.
Inna Balahurovska, a PhD-student of the Department of Management, took part in the XII International Conference System Safety: Human - Technical Facility - Environment, which was held on December 14, 2023 in Częstochowa. The result of the conference was the publication of scientific works in Walter de Gruyter, Sciendo.
Super-end of the last week of the year with super-students of the master's program "Project Management"
On December 27, as part of the educational space "Laboratory of Ideas" of the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management of Sumy State University, associate professors Alyona Yevdokymova and Tetyana Maiboroda held an offline meeting where they summed up the results of the Virtual Global Class from the WSU Carson College of Business coordinated by Dipra Jha and handed out certificates for participation in the COIL module , and also discussed the presented works from the course "Project Team Management".

Teacher of the Department of Economics, Assoc. Yu.A. Opanasyuk visited the European Parliament in Brussels, where she immersed herself in the goals, history and politics of the European Union.
The European Parliament is the heart of democracy and political debate in the EU. Elected directly by the voters, its members determine the future of the Union and make strategic decisions together with the Council.
This visit gave the teacher a broad overview of not only the process of legislative adoption and the EU budget, but also the role of the Parliament in the world.

In December 2023, a comprehensive course addressing intercultural competence and the challenges arising from cultural clashes, social conflicts, and discrimination successfully took place. The course brought together leading experts in the field who shared their knowledge and experience through a series of webinars. The main sessions were developed and performed by Dr.Sci., professor Hanna Shvindina, and besides that the visiting lecturers joined the course.

The Department is proud to announce the successful completion of the innovative course "Intercultural Competences Development & Intercultural Communications." Developed by Dr. Tetyana Mayboroda, Ph.D., an Associate Professor in the Management Department and Deputy Head of the International Affairs Department. This course has established a dynamic learning environment where international students and local Ukrainian students collaborate and learn together in English.
