On 26 October 2023, Tetyana Mayboroda Associate Professor of the O. Balatskyi Department of Management, delivered a presentation of the project "The russian-Ukrainian Conflict: Storytelling, Impact on Global Relations and Conflict Management". The presentation was held as part of the Global Virtual Class 2023 "International Relations and Global Leadership" with partner Washington State University, USA, in which students of our department of the Management and Project Management study programs take part in autumn semester.

Since last year, Sumy State University and the University of Liverpool have been partners within the "Unity Initiative" program. The program involves cooperation in a wide range of areas, including summer schools and student exchanges, teacher training, an online educational resources platform, access to global databases.
This year, three teachers and a graduate student of the Department of Management - Tetyana Mayboroda , Karina Taraniuk, Anastasia Nesheva, Evgenia Lavryk took part in the Summer School of the University of Liverpool.
On October 10, 2023, a lecture on office management brought a special guest to our class. Hanna Stryzhak, a distinguished alumna who graduated with a degree in management and later completed her postgraduate studies in Environmental Economics and Conservation, shared her valuable insights with us.
Today, Hanna Stryzhak is the leader of a business group within the globally renowned company Mary Kay. She has built a team of over 160 consultants, showcasing her remarkable leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
On October 26, 2023, students and lecturers of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management took part in the round table “Features of the training of management personnel under martial law”. Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management of Sumy State University is a co-organizer of the round table together with the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University.
On October 10, 2023, the teacher of Sumy State University (PhD of public administration, senior lecturer of the Department of Management named after Oleg Balatskyi Demikhov O.I.), on October 10, 2023, together with students, attended the open online lecture "SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION, RUSSIAN- THE UKRAINIAN WAR AND THE UKRAINIAN MIRACLE: ACCORDING TO THE MONITORING MATERIALS OF THE UKRAINIAN SCHOOL OF ARCHETYPICS (1992-2023)". Lecturer - Eduard AFONIN, doctor of sociological sciences, professor, representative of the Ukrainian School of Archetypes of the Ukrainian Academy of Technology.
On October 17, 2023, a practical-oriented class was held for the students of the educational program “Project Management” by Ivan Glushko, the chief logistics manager of “Avias” LLC, a graduate of the above mentioned program. During the meeting, they discussed the features of creating the first project, the basic principles of the project manager's work, including initiation, planning and control of implementation of project works, interaction of project team members, etc.
On September 26-28, 2023, the IX International Scientific Conference "Social Development of Values" was held in the city of Wisla (Poland). Ethics - Technologies - Society" (IX International Scientific Conference "Social development towards values. Ethics - Technology - Society"), in which scientists from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Italy took part. Sumy State University was the co-organizer of this event.
From October 16, 2023 to December 11, 2023, the implementation of the Erasmus Jean Monet project began on the topic "European practices of green tourism and its transformation in the conditions of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine" (Call: ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, Type of Action: ERASMUS-LS, Acronym: Green tourism, Current Phase: Grant Management, Number: 101126971), where Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor Karina Taraniuk has started a series of lectures and practical cases from the course «Transformation (reengineering of business processes) of green tourism: European experience» for students of the 4th year of the "Management" specialty of Sumy State University in online mode
The cycle of lectures includes: discourse-lectures, problem-oriented learning, practical cases on the direction of green tourism transformation in the European Union and their implementation in the Ukrainian tourist space. The course contains 9 topics and 9 practical cases totaling 40 hours. For the purpose of a higher level of informatization of the course, course materials have been uploaded to the electronic educational platform.
On October 3, 2023, students of the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management (Sumy State University) had the opportunity to get acquainted with important aspects of business management from graduate Daria Lantushenko, who successfully graduated from the "Project Management" specialty and is currently developing her own business.
