2Spending a semester at the University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The Erasmus+ program opened a world of opportunities for me, both academically and personally.

Studying in a new environment was challenging but incredibly rewarding. The lectures were engaging, and I learned so much about business that I know will be helpful for my future career. Meeting professors and students from different backgrounds broadened my perspective and helped me see business from new angles.

1During the summer vacation, our Department’s educational team and lecturers continue to work on a unique project to internationalise the curriculum for the Master's degree programme in Project Management. In July, a number of sessions and workshops were held with lecturers, where they were emotionally and lively brainstorming and discussing details and nuances of the relevant chenges and revisions in the programme profile, in learning outcomes, in content and topics of disciplines, in references and sources.

On June 12, 2024, the defense of the bachelor thesis in specialty 073 "Management" of the study program "Management" has been taken place.

Students presented their research results and demonstrated the competence to solve complex tasks in the field of future professional activity - the task of managing companies at different levels of management.

We congratulate our students on the award of the Bachelor of Management qualification and wish them success. May all your plans come true!

1On June 13, Svitlana Kolosok, Associate Professor of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management, attended the UCL Energy Transition Symposium. This international scientific and communication event was dedicated to the future global energy transition prospects, bringing together stakeholders from politics, government, industry, and academia.

The main topics of the symposium were:

- “Systems perspectives on challenges of meeting net zero and research needs.”

- “Energy Transition and Net Zero Societies”

- “The role of data in community decarbonization”

- “Building a Resilient Future: Strategies for Climate Adaptation” etc.

This symposium has become an essential means for discussions and the exchange of experiences on clean energy technologies that contribute to the decarbonization of society. Svitlana Kolosok attended the UCL Energy Transition Symposium to disseminate the results of the projects 101048079 - EU4SmartED - ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH and 0123U101920 thanks to the support of cara.org.

123On May 28th, higher education students specializing in economic fields, particularly "MANAGEMENT," "ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT," "PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND ADMINISTRATION," within the framework of the courses "Human Resource Management," "HR Management," and "Self-Management," participated in an open practice-oriented session. The session featured a guest lecture from Iryna Viktorivna Kolesnyk, an alumna of the Oleg Balatsky Department of Management and currently a specialist in human resource management and labor relations at Mondelez Ukraine PJSC.

42006On June 19-20, 2024, the defense of the bachelor thesis of correspondence students in the specialty 073 "Management" of the study program "Management" took place.

The students presented the results of their research and demonstrated their competence in solving complex problems in the field of management, as well as solving tasks of various functional areas and management levels of organizations.

Oleksandr Yushchenko, an entrepreneur, public figure and co-founder of "ROCK KAVA" LLC, shared his experience of running a business, life position and lifelong learning with students of the 1st year of the BiEM Institute.

The students' meeting with our graduate, stakeholder-practitioner Oleksandr Yushchenko turned out to be interesting, useful and informative. At the lecture session, as part of the study of the "Management" discipline, the issues of the peculiarities of opening and running a business in modern conditions, the effectiveness of team management, the development of a person as an individual, a manager and a leader were discussed.

On June 30th, at the Sumy State University, the lecturers from the O. Balatsky Department of Management, Svitlana Rybalchenko and Yuliia Matvieieva, conducted a training session on self-productivity enhancement titled "Time Management" for the 10th-grade students of the Stezkivskyi Institution of General Secondary Education I-III levels of the Sumy City Council.
